5.2 Custom Settings

The following functionalities are available in the Custom Settings module:

5.2.1 Functionality

Settings List :

• A list of all custom settings will be displayed.

Add New Settings Group :

• To create a new settings group, ensure that both the settings group key and the display name are provided. The settings group key should not contain any special characters. It is important to fill out both the key and display name fields, as leaving them empty will result in an error message stating "Key and display name can't be blank" when attempting to save the settings. Furthermore, if a record with the same name already exists, an error notice will be displayed, indicating "Record by this name exists, can't insert." On the other hand, upon successful creation of the settings group, a confirmation message stating "Settings created successfully" will be shown.

Add New Button :

• By providing values for the setting key, value, encrypted, and active fields, additional setting items can be added within each setting group. To remove a specific set, simply click on the cross icon associated with that set. This allows for easy management and customization of the settings within the group.
